FLOOR MANAGER

As an employee of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will provide the best in customer service while working as an ambassador for the live performing arts. In addition, you will be cultivating an active interest in the Center as the premier venue for performance art, education programming and as a gathering place for the community.

This position is under the general supervision of the Manager of Volunteer and Audience Services, and House Managers during events. This part-time position is responsible for supervising the Center’s volunteer ushers, greeters, and ticket takers during events and providing for the safety and comfort of guests attending performances at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
   
Serves as the communication link between the theater and the front of house.
Responsible for the general supervision of volunteer staff on assigned floors as directed by the house manager.
Reviews information and provides direction to assigned volunteer staff regarding event details, seating and facility policies and emergency and evacuation procedures.
Provides assistance to persons using wheelchairs or with special seating needs to ensure their comfort and safety.
Enforces performance and house policies regarding cameras, children, cell phones, food and beverages, etc. and works to ensure compliance and satisfaction for all guests.
Assists in house opening and closing procedures, late seating of guests, and overall crowd control and security at events and performances
Ensures world class customer service to all guests of the Center.
Ensures programs and stuffers are assembled and distributed pre show.
Completes floor manager event summary form post show.
  Assists the house manager in maintaining and executing event duties and responsibilities.
  Attends Center related trainings and meetings.
   
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 

Applicants must have a proven background in customer service.  Experience in theater or performing arts front of house operations is highly desirable.  Must be an excellent communicator and problem solver and be able to work a flexible schedule that could include, nights, weekends, and some holidays.  Applicants must be able to stand for long periods of time.
