The Bartending position is under the general supervision of the event services department. Bartending employees will work to ensure excellent guest service per the standards set forth by the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. Position is part time and requires evening and weekend duties.
As an employee of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will provide the best in customer service while working as an ambassador for the live performing arts. In addition, you will be cultivating an active interest in the Center as the premier venue for performance art, education programming and as a gathering place for the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Bartending:
Provides guests with desired beverage in a professional and friendly manner.
Inventories and stocks beverage locations before, during and at the end of each shift.
Tears down and cleans beverage stations after each event.
Checks and verifies proper forms of identification in determining age of patrons.
Ability to deal with underage patrons regarding beverage service in the facility. Cash Handling:
Cash handling skills include making change and balancing cash receipts at the end of each shift.
Completes reports and forms as required by the department. Customer Service:
Greets and welcomes all guests.
Answers questions from patrons.
Ability to deal with difficult, intoxicated or disappointed guest.
Keeps radio or phone communications with building staff. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong communication skills.
Demonstrate abilities to be efficient and courteous while interacting with a large number of guests.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
Knowledge and experience in mixing drinks.
Knowledge of local and state alcohol laws, rules and regulations.
Skills in basic math and giving accurate exchange of coins and currency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years of age. Must be able to obtain a City of Appleton bartenders license and work flexible hours such as weekends, nights and holidays.
SALARY
This is a part time position with wages paid every 2 weeks based on a per hour rate.
